Anna Halprin's Planetary Dance® Facilitation Workshop and public event
The Planetary Dance is a contemporary dance ritual for healing and peace. People of all ages and conditions have come together in this universal and accessible form for the past 46 years dancing for peace with the Earth and for peace in their communities, created by the internationally renowned dance visionary - Anna Halprin.
Dates: Tuesday 7th - Sunday 12th April 2026
Venue: Le Ravin Bleu in Montigny-Lencoup France (one hour from Paris) fully residential.
Led by Audicia Lynne Morley and Marie Motais in collaboration with Chloé Noble.
Join the first European facilitators training approved by the Tamalpa institute/ Halprin Legacy Lab.
Taught in French and English with accredited trainers by Anna Halprin in March 2010, to train facilitators for the Planetary Dance/ Circle the Earth).
This 5 day introduction to the Planetary Dance Community Ritual is designed to introduce participants to the Planetary Dance ritual, it's history, intention and "score" that enables participants to offer the Planetary Dance in their own communities.
- Learn all aspects of the Planetary Dance, its theory, form, preparation and context (Circle the Earth process and organisation)
- Use the RSVP cycles created by Lawrence and Anna Halprin
- Collect and gather resources and tools to run your own Planetary Dance group
- Help create dance and direct a first Planetary Dance open to the public.
At the end of this course, participants will be certified to facilitate the full day of celebrations including the Planetary Dance according to the model developed by Anna Halprin. As part of this workshop, a Planetary Dance open to the public, facilitated by the trainers and co-led by the trainees will be organized. The facilitation workshop will be accompanied by live music from various musicians and percussionists.

Eligibility requirements:
The European facilitators training is open to professional practitioners in the field of somatic’s, performance, therapy, education, counselling, the arts, Level 1 Tamalpa graduates and beyond.

The Planetary Dance was devised by Anna Halprin and community in 1980 as a call to enact a positive myth in dance. It has now been performed in over 35 countries around the world and is celebrating its 46th year.
The Planetary Dance invites individuals, families and communities to share a collective dance event in the form of walks and runs. It is simple and easy to practice. The power of this community ritual is accentuated through the engagement of each person's personal intention and prayer.
